Ages
We accept boys and girls ages 3-16. All ability levels welcome! Each child's playing age is determined by how old they will be on April 30, 2024.
Example: Jane Johnson is currently 4 years old, but she turns 5 on March 16, 2024. Jane's playing age is 5.
All players must have their age verified each season via a formal document with their full name and birth date (birth certificate, passport, etc.). These may be uploaded during registration, emailed to nwba2005@gmail.com, or verified in person during any of the in person registration dates.
When
Season begins March 16th and runs through the end of May/early June.
Where
All games take place at Doss Park located at 2500 Frick Rd.
Practices are determined by coaches and may take place at Doss, nearby batting cages, or other practice locales as needed.
Practices
Team practices are up to coaches' discretion. Each coach will have a welcome meeting in late February where they can ask questions/voice concerns about practices. Most teams practice 1-2 times per week, up until games begin, then practices may be more spread out. Contact your assigned coach for more details.
Games
Each team will play 10 games over the course of the season. Games typically take place Tues, Wed, Thurs, and Sat., but no team should have more than 2 games per week, weather permitting.
Uniform/ Equipment
Uniform includes: jersey, hat, socks, and belt. Please wait for coach instructions about what color pants to buy. Sample uniform sizes are available to view during any of the in-person registration dates, but all changes must be made IN WRITING before February 8th.
Each player will also need a glove, bat, and helmet. Please refer to our Bat Chart under the resources tab of our website for more info.
Extra Costs
In addition to registration fees, each player is required to sell $240 worth of candy OR do a $120 buyout. Candy/Buyout payments due by March 5th. Candy is available for pickup during all in-person registration dates and at tryouts. If you do not pick up candy, you are responsible for paying the $120 buyout. Candy pickup and sales are your responsibility. Uniforms cannot be collected until candy/buyout is paid.

-Early Bird registration- 1/13, 10am-4pm, $100 on this day only
-Regular registration(in-person)- 1/20 & 1/27, 10am-2pm; 2/1, 6pm-8pm (last registration unless full earlier), $130 on these dates
-Registration will close online on 2/16 unless divisions are full earlier.
-Tryouts: Ages 3-8- Feb. 3rd; Ages 9-16- Feb. 6th. See confirmation email for more details.
-Buyout/Candy due March 5th.
-Opening Day: 3/16 10am-3pm; Parade at 9am.

Waiver:
I understand the size I select will be the size my child will receive, if the size is wrong when I receive it I understand that I will be required to pay 35.00 to replace it with a new size.
I understand that I am required to sell 80 boxes of Candy at $3.00 each for a total of $240 or pay the $120 buyout. Once I receive candy, I understand that CANDY IS NOT RETURNABLE. I agree that once I receive the candy that I am fully responsible for the money to be turned in, and understand if I do not turn in fundraising money -no uniforms will be handed out to the team my player is listed on.

I understand that once a player has been placed on a team’s roster, he/she will NOT be moved to another team.
Yes, I consent to my child being photographed, interviewed and/or videotaped by representatives of Northwest Baseball Association (NWBA). Any information or images obtained from those activities may be reproduced by Northwest Baseball Association for use in advertising, publicity or websites print and television news. I hereby waive any claims I may have, and release NWBA and its employees from liability of claims arising out of such activities.
Northwest Baseball Association (NWBA) has implemented numerous health and safety measures to reduce the risk of exposure to COVID-19. However, COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that poses numerous health risks, including death, especially to elderly people and those with underlying health risks.
